The Integrity Behind True Luxury

Over the past decade, the meaning of luxury has evolved. As high-end materials and prestigious brands became increasingly accessible, exclusivity came to be defined less by abundance and more by authenticity. Today, luxury is measured by a place's ability to engage the senses, create emotion, and offer something genuinely unique.
At ALMA, this philosophy extends far beyond aesthetics. It is reflected in every stone, every beam, and every decision made to ensure that our homes age gracefully and remain deeply connected to the extraordinary landscape they inhabit.
The Heart of ALMA: Materials Rooted in Place
Each stone that forms the walls of ALMA is excavated directly from the land itself. More than a construction material, it is part of the terrain upon which the community stands. This connection gives every residence a character that cannot be replicated by imported or artificial alternatives.
Alongside these stones, we use wood native to Southern Mexico and naturally adapted to the climate of the Oaxaca coast. Rather than simply purchasing finished beams, we carefully select certified suppliers and laminate the structural members ourselves in Huatulco, ensuring they meet our standards of strength, durability, and beauty.
The structure of our homes is made from national steel beams and columns designed to withstand coastal conditions, seismic activity, and the passage of time. Finished in a custom shade of gray with subtle green undertones, the steel blends naturally with the changing colors of Huatulco throughout the seasons.
Even the travertine we use is sourced from some of the country's most responsible quarries, powered entirely by solar energy and operating with closed-loop water systems that recycle water indefinitely. Advanced cutting techniques minimize waste, while exhausted quarries are fully replanted.
Thoughtful choices extend beyond the homes themselves. Our roads are built from permeable concrete pavers manufactured on-site, allowing rainwater to penetrate the soil while giving character to what too often remains ordinary stamped concrete.

Sustainability as a Consequence
At ALMA, sustainability is not a feature added at the end of the design process. It is the natural consequence of hundreds of decisions, both large and small.
From wastewater recycling systems to green roofs, every element has been carefully considered to reduce our impact and preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us. Native vegetation is protected whenever possible, while durable materials and efficient systems help minimize waste and maintenance over the long term.
This approach allows exceptional comfort to coexist with forest immersion, privacy, accessibility, and the quality of finishes expected from a luxury community.
Building for Generations
True luxury should endure.
That is why we prioritize durability as much as beauty. The combination of natural stone, laminated wood, and structural steel creates timeless homes designed to age gracefully and require minimal maintenance over decades.
Our goal has never been to create something spectacular for a few years, but rather to build a community that will remain beautiful for generations to come. One that respects the land it occupies and allows future owners to enjoy the same extraordinary setting that attracted us to Huatulco in the first place.

Recognized Excellence
This philosophy has earned ALMA international recognition, including the award for Best Sustainable Residential Development in the Americas from the International Property Awards, as well as a nomination among the four most luxurious residential developments in the Americas.
Yet beyond awards, we believe the greatest measure of success lies elsewhere: in creating homes that stand the test of time and a community that future generations will be proud to inherit.
Because luxury is not merely what we build.
It is what we preserve.
It is what we pass on.
A Lasting Investment in Quality and Sustainability
When you invest in ALMA, you are investing in more than a home. You are investing in a multi-award-winning vision of luxury that honors both the land and the future.
Our homes are built to last, with materials and designs that require minimal maintenance and are designed to stand the test of time. Like many of the world's most beautiful buildings or just like old cars, they are intended to age gracefully, remain relevant for generations and build real appreciation.
This approach helps preserve the long-term value of your investment while allowing future generations to enjoy the same beauty and comfort that owners experience today. It also supports a community that seeks to set a benchmark for sustainable living on the Oaxaca coast.
